Remembering Dame Angela Rumbold
Dame Angela Rumbold sadly passed away on Saturday 19 June after a long illness very bravely borne.
She was a friend, colleague and inspiration to everyone associated with the United Learning Trust and United Church Schools Trust and was ULT’s first Chairman.
Angela was an outstanding person. She brought to the office of Chairman a warmth, affection and dedication which was unique and was one of the great driving forces in enabling the United Learning Trust to engage with City Academies. Her deep love of children was inspired by her family and fulfilled through her Ministerial career and her subsequent engagement with a wide range of schools as a Governor and Chairman. All of us at ULT join with her family in thanking God for all she has been and for all she has given us.
